BE THE COOL, CALM, COLLECTED SUMMER LADY
HOW TO STAY COOL AND UNBOTHERED DURING THE SUMMER HEAT! 🪭

Hey! Hey! A fabulous third week in June that we are in! How has this week been for you? I hope you all were able to rest and do some thriving instead of just surviving in this chaotic world.
As a Minnesota resident and especially a resident of the twin cities greater area, this past weekend was very heavy for us. Regardless of your political views, murdering and assassinating people for their political views is not something that should be condoned. We as a nation need to do and be better. We can all strive to show empathy and understanding, even if we disagree with someone's views.
This upcoming weekend will be the official start of summer and it’s also Cancer season! I felt like we just ended Taurus season, we were in Gemini season for a few days and Cancer season was suddenly thrust upon us! Happy Birthday to all my Cancer Babes out there! 🎂
Cancer season is all about increase emotional sensitivity, home and family and our relationships with our loved ones, self-care, and the inclined
need to care for others and create a supportive environment. It all sounds great and I especially love the SELF-CARE aspect of this season!
Summer of course is the season of weddings, graduations, retirement parties, picnics, and essentially, a lot of getting together with friends and family. It can be overwhelming, frustrating, and flustering, which in retrospect, can really feel off-balance and create more heat, anger, and fire.
I don't know about all of you but this summer, my intention is to remain cool, comfortable, and cozy. Yes. I’m not about the heat, anger, or fire anymore! And when I say this, I mean both physically, mentally, and spiritually. Maybe this has a lot to do with my journey of letting go, remaining centered, and realizing that self-care (boundaries and prioritizing) is my responsibility to enforce; I’ve learned no one else is going to do it for me
so I gotta do it FOR ME.
This week’s blog is getting straight to the point (as I have a lot of things on my to-do list before our family cabin trip) and discusses how you can be a cool, calm, and collected summer lady even in this fiery, hot, summer heat. Hint: it’s more than just staying physically cool.
Ladies, being a cool and calm summer lady isn’t about wearing linen and sipping spritzes (though that does help and no judgement here from me!), it’s really about embodying ease, grace, and grounded confidence in the midst of heat, hustle, and high emotions.
Here’s how to channel that energy:
Embrace the "Soft Girl Summer" Mindset: In last week’s blog, I wrote about embodying the soft life and this week, I’ll say it again. Now, when I say soft, I don’t mean it as soft as in weak, I mean soft as in being intentional, allowing flow, and being unbothered. This means you choose ease over chaos. It’s summer so stop rushing to prove or perform; and most importantly, prioritize joy, rest, and authenticity. Feeling flustered with all the summer obligations: remind yourself, “If it costs me my peace, it’s too expensive.”
Curate Your Vibe, Not Just Your Closet: A cool & calm woman doesn’t just look the part—she carries and embodies it in her energy. She does
this by speaking slower with intention and purpose. She walks like she has time; she smiles less out of politeness and more out of contentment. She allows her silence to speak when words aren’t necessary. She has cool, calm, collected, BOSS energy. Her power isn’t loud—it’s still and sure.
Regulate, Don’t React: I feel that in almost all of my blogs, you see me write about the importance of not reacting first and to first regulate, pause, and then respond. The matter of fact is the heat, people, and situations will test you. Your job? Stay grounded. Always pause before responding to nonsense and ask yourself, "Do you really need to respond to nonsense?” Remember, your currency (energy, time, and brain cells). Take breaks when overstimulated and walk away if your presence or a response is not needed. Use breathwork, go for a walk, or cold water to reset your nervous system. As always, a calm woman is unshakable. Not because nothing bothers her—but because she chooses not to match chaos; detachment is her superpower.
Romanticize the Little Things: The month of February may be the month of romance but you can definitely have romance in the summer! Find pleasure in the small rituals like morning walks with iced coffee(before the humidity hits), sunset journaling or enjoy your summer playlists. For those who live near a beach, go and enjoy the beach! Take yourself out on solo picnics, farmer’s markets, or anything that slows you down and calms your soul! In a world of rushing, being calm isn’t passive—it’s a choice to live beautifully slowly in a world that demands constant charging.
Stay Unavailable to Stress: I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, and again, and again, protect your peace like a luxury item! Your peace is everything. Say no without overexplaining (remember NO is a complete sentence), let other people carry their own chaos and solve their own damn problems. You can help and support people but that doesn’t mean you have to take on their issues; and lastly, don’t chase; what’s meant for you will feel calm and aligned. A cool summer lady never begs, proves, or chases. She aligns, attracts, and receives.
Ladies, being a cool, calm, summer lady is all about embracing your softness, being in your aura, and leading with boldness and grace. The summer season is about you and remember, not everyone gets access to you even though you may be seeing and encountering people who lack brain cells through the events that you choose to attend. You’re a hot, summer, item with high thread count that is EXPENSIVE!
When a woman forges her own path and is OWNING IT, she embodies warmth but displays her parameters. She is soft but never confuse that as weakness. She appears calm but ensures that she is not complacent. She is what happens when a woman chooses herself fully and lets the summer sun kiss her without asking permission. She is the ultimate COOL, CALM, COLLECTED, SUMMER LADY! 🪭
